| WOW...That Z killed everyone.. Even kept up with some rockets.. It was a automatic too wasn't it? Is this quick Z possible without the 2jz?... Anyone know what it has in it besides the engine swap? |

Yep, Streetfighter made his own intake... PT67 DBB turbo and 100 shot of nos. I dont think he used the 100 shot to get his 550 rwhp though. Stock N/A internals.
Yes it is possible to have this quick of a Z without a 2jz. SATAN and 1SickZ (from FL) can put down these numbers. SteveZ from Oh can put down these numbers also. There are more people out there also, look at the guys from WWR and Puerto Rico. _________________ RB25DET, RB30DET build in progress. 400whp Shiro Special # 981 build in tuning.

Would be even cooler if it was a VG though. 2JZ is cool an all, but mostly for show. The VG can do the same thing. _________________ 1985 300ZX N/A -- Schneider Racing Cams + Valve Springs - U/R Underdrive Pulley - Ported/Polished Heads -

2JZ's routinely put out those 600hp numbers with little to no mods (other than turbo). There is nothing "show" about them. They GO! And they go lots. _________________ Have you been flamed? Click here:

You're right, and they're meant to go into Toyota Supras. I didn't say the engine didn't have any capability to GO. I just don't think it belongs in a Nissan vehicle.
Purist? Maybe... but the VG can also make 600hp.. _________________ 1985 300ZX N/A -- Schneider Racing Cams + Valve Springs - U/R Underdrive Pulley - Ported/Polished Heads -

I would love to actually build a RB26DET/T powered Z31, but I lack the funding and the fabrication skills to put it together in a proper fashion. I'll stick w/ variations of the VG for my Z31. _________________ 1985 300ZX N/A -- Schneider Racing Cams + Valve Springs - U/R Underdrive Pulley - Ported/Polished Heads -

That's just the latest video. Save this guy's link and you can watch more of them as they get released:
http://videos.streetfire.net/profile/PhoenixEvo.htm He's in the previous vid too.
He makes one almost every week or so now. He's good friends with Marc, so he gets lots of footage. Hopefully mine will be in those vids soon.
He gets lots of complaints about his setup cause he's much lighter and the body isn't straight. But that obviously comes from the haters that put 5x's the cash into their Mustangs and F-body's. He's pretty much unstoppable in the area except for the 1kwhp Viper.
He has the nitrous, but doesn't have it tuned yet. I'm sure he'll use it if there's actually a time for him to need it. _________________ 1987 300ZX - T3

| I believe that it is without the nitrous. With that big of a turbo I would hope to get that much horsepower. I am expecting around that number on pump gas at 20 psi with my vg34 and a t3-t4 60trim. That is a lot of boost. He works at a supra shop so it is a lot easier to come by parts for that engine. |

That turbo is small compared to most... It is only a little bigger than a 35r. _________________ RB25DET, RB30DET build in progress. 400whp Shiro Special # 981 build in tuning.

True, it will only make about another 50hp. He plans to upgrade.....I believe to a T72. _________________ 1987 300ZX - T3

what i don't understand is why they toss all that money onto swaps and other bits, but won't play with a gt series turbo... _________________

Prolly because they get the equivalent of a gt series turbo for 2/3's the price? _________________ RB25DET, RB30DET build in progress. 400whp Shiro Special # 981 build in tuning.
